This Time Around
By Mark Blume

I usually get a bit philosophical in this blog and let Jim Francisco handle the race report, but I felt like doing more of a race report this time around.

So far this year our team has been in the hunt every race.  We are currently second in points.  We have not won a race, but we have finished in the top five three out of the four races so far this year.  We have had a good car, but have simply been in the wrong place at the wrong time or had some bad luck on the way of yellow flags and shorten races.

Last season at 141 Speedway Race in September things started to turn around.  Bill Prietzel had some bad luck and we finished second to Kevin Damrow.  It was the fourth time we had finished second, but it was enough to get us to first place in points.  Then, two weeks later, James won his first and only 2007 Mid-Am feature race in Marshfield.

Our next race is guess where?  Of course, 141 Speedway.  Let hope we can rekindle some of that “141 magic” from 2007 race and regain the points lead.  It will be tough as I understand 141 is a tough track to drive.  It is on the only Mid-Am series track I have never been at.  I may make the trip this time.

See you all at the Finish Line - Mark
